My friend (and awesome photographer) Vanessa Rae and her friend have started up a great blog; with.in. Each week they give a word, and then you create your own memoir from that word. What a great way to get you to think every week and then create.

Week 1: Story.

"l remember being with my dad. He would get these far-off looks in his eye, and he would say, "Life doesn't always turn out the way you plan....

I just wish I realized at the time, he was talking about my life."

-While you were Sleeping.

This week, the Hubby and I are coming up on a pretty big anniversary. Which, has gotten me to thinking about the past a lot. I remember being engaged, sitting on the couch, and planning out our future.... Although I don't remember all that was said, I do know for sure that no where in the plan was their a Masters Degree in Albuquerque, New Mexico or me being a photographer....yet, here we are! On May 12th, Hubby will get his Masters Degree. On May 18th K will graduate from preschool. On May 24th S will be done with 2nd grade. On May 25th Baby G will turn 1 yrs old. These things I am sure of. After that...NOT. A. CLUE. Where will Hubby be working? What state will we be living in? Will K go to all day Kindergarten or half day? Where? When? How?

Christmas mini's {Albuquerque family and kids photographer}

I hope everyone had a great Holiday! We sure did! We were able to spend time with family for 2 weeks!! It was a lot of fun! But, a lot of work when we got home (yes, I am ashamed to admit, when we go to Grandma's my workload is almost totally eliminated with all the willing help I get with the kids!)...unpacking...taking down all the Christmas stuff....unpacking....dejunking....unpacking, as well as trying to get everyone back into a rhythm. The Hubby still has one more week off from school before it is back to the grind stone! Only one more semester left! Yippee! The kids have loved having him around. The other day S kept saying, "I just love having Dad at home! He is so much fun to be with!" I am really excited for some ideas I have floating around in my head for the business this year! But, I figured before I get going on that I should probably get some of the photos from a mini session or two posted! Enjoy!

I had the privileged of meeting this fun family last May just before their little girl turned 1. It was so much fun to be able to photograph them again and see how much the little miss had changed over the last 6 months! She really made me work to get a smile out of her. It is amazing what a couple of pebbles does to start a friendship with a 1 year old! ;c)

I wish every session could be as much fun as this one was with these two! They are newly weds (almost had been married for a year) and they weren't afraid to show it ;cD They kept me laughing the entire time...and even after when we met up with my family and went to dinner! My kids absolutely loved Will, he is going to make a great Dad someday!

I ~~shall not~~ cannot, take credit for this posing! Will saw the scarecrow and just felt a connection! I don't know why this one didn't make the Christmas card....;c)

This next cute family you might remember from...well, a lot of places on my blog. They were my VERY FIRST clients (that didn't know me already) and I have loved seeing them a few times a year and watching the kiddo's grow! They are such a sweet family! Oh, and not only are the kids SO well behaved, they are sooo nice to each other too! HOW does Mom do that!?! ;cD

Hello there! Remember me!?! I could hardly believe it when realized my last new picture post was AUGUST!! Between taking time off to have a baby and then all the holiday sessions I have done lately I have been a little busy! I have quite a few new sessions to share, but I always like to wait till closer to the holidays so that I don’t ruin the surprise for anyone’s Christmas card!

This session was supposed to get done this summer for my girls b-days. But the location I had picked out was clear across town and lugging a newborn all the way over there just never really seemed that fun! So, I started looking for something a little closer…and just right up the street I found this spot! Much easier to motivate myself to go to!

My two Girlies are so much fun! They both have such different personalities and I think that they really shine through in these pictures. And, I was very proud of them for looking at the camera!! Oh yes, there was bribery involved!

Of course there had to be one of the little guy too!

She has had this cute little holy grin for months now and no teeth in sight! We keep telling her she needs to sing, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!"

We gave her my old phone that plays music for her b-day (without phone service!!) and she just LOVES it! It makes her feel so mature!

It's that time of year again! Time to start thinking about the holidays! I broke out the fall scented candles last weekend....still trying to get up the drive to pull out everything in the closet to get to the Fall decorations! The leafs have slowly started to change colors, and that means that if you are wanting fall colors for your holiday photos, it is time to start planning! I am super excited to announce this years "Holiday Mini's 2011"!! I have a super fun location in mind, that has both evergreens as well as fall color! So, we will have a lot to work with! As always, these fill up fast, so please contact me quick if you want to book!

Little Man is 3 months! {Albuquerque kid photographer}

Little Man just turned 3 months on Thursday. So, I thought it was a perfect excuse to break out the camera and get some of his chubby cheek goodness caught on film (so to speak). I had a hard time deciding between color and black and white...in the end I decided to go with timeless b&w and I threw one color one in there because his shirt and the blanket matched so well!

Summers Past

So...its been forever! Having two older almost totally self sufficient kids made me forget how much time newborns actually take out of your day! So, it has taken me quite some time to get these photos edited and posted, but here they are!

Little Man had a bit of a rocky start with acid reflex and an ear infection, but I am happy to report that he seems to be on the mend and most days is happy as a lark. He is ten weeks and already weighs 13.5 pounds! I am sure there will be pictures to follow...someday!

Introducing Henrie #3!

Well hello there! Remember me? Yes, it has been a while! Baby Boy was scheduled to make his appearance on his due date May 24th. But, wanting to be just like his sisters he instead waited till just after his due date (12:03 am to be exact) before coming into the world! The last 5 weeks have been fun, cuddly, sleepy, and crazy. But, I think its safe to say that we are loving almost every minute of it! Below are pictures I took of Baby Boy about 4 days new and 7 days new.

The adorable hat was custom made by Preppy Peach. I told her that I wanted a lobster on a hat (because I had plans to put him in a cute red beach pail I have...but at 9.5 we was just a tad too big!) and she made it so cute! Check her out for all your hat needs!

It is no secret, I have my favorite locations. But, I am always on the lookout for something new. I love the challenge of coming up with new ideas in a new place. So, I was thrilled when the A family contacted me and said they wanted to do pictures at their house! What a great way to capture the true essence of "your family"! And, little Ms. L is turning 1 later this month, so we also did a few b-day pictures too! What a cutie! Thanks A family!

I just adore the interaction in these shots...can't you just tell how much they love their little cutie?

Baby Boy is due any day now (really Baby, ANY DAY NOW!) and so I will be taking June off from shooting. But, make sure to book you Summer and Fall sessions now before all my time fills up!

When people come to my house for the first time they often ask if the Hubby or I ever lived in Hawaii. We have a beach house in the middle of New Mexico. It is adorned with sailboats, sand from many beaches, flip flops, shells, and woodys. Yes, my heart belongs as the beach.... So, one might assume that I am a summer girl. And, up until just a few years ago I thought I was. But, I have since learned that I am a Spring girl at heart. There is just something so thrilling to me about the dreary winter being taken over by flowering buds. And, while I love that Spring seems to come a bit earlier here than in Utah (lets face it, it is STILL snowing there!) I could really do without the wind that New Mexico is famous for! Yuck Yuck Yuck. Anyways, I have had the idea for this shoot in my head for a long time...it was all just a matter of waiting for the trees to cooperate. Of course, this particular morning just had to be a bit chilly. But, my little K was a real trooper (the things the kid will do for the promise of a cookie!)! So, I present: SPRING
(side note: I uploaded these pictures a different way tonight all for the sake of time and they came out looking a little grainy. Bummer. At least I will know not to do that with client photos! :) )

She has the most adorable "mad face". Usually, when she gets mad we just say, "quick get the camera she has on her mad face!" And, she breaks into a huge grin. So, I was surprised when I told her to show me her mad face, she was able to do it!

Just being my cheesy!

Oh, and you might have noticed that I have totally dropped the ball on Project 52....this baby has really taken the umph out of me this time! I hope to (maybe) pick it up when he gets here... We'll see....

Trains, Blossoms, and Zombies {Rio Rancho Senior Photographer}

I just love photographing seniors! They are at such a fun time in their lives when the world holds so many possibilities! I had such a good time with M. She has been accepted to a few different colleges (decisions...decisions...), and is already a barber. I just loved her 3 picks for locations. The first is her own backyard! How fun is that? Her Grandpa has done an awesome job in their backyard including a water fall and train! Then we went to a nearby park. And lastly, one of my personal favorites: the graffiti wall! It was fun to have such different backdrops to work with! Thanks M and good luck with your college career!

I was super excited when my roommate from BYU (from only a "few" years ago!) asked if she could come visit for Spring Break. My sophomore year of college I was so blessed to have the two best roomies. We were inseparable then and have all remained close friends since then. Berlyn and I have a special bond because we are "twins separated at birth"! Or, so we told everyone! Not that we look a thing alike or even have similar personalities, but we were born on the exact same day, both in CA, loved Winnie the Pooh, bright colors (yellow and orange to be exact), and our boyfriends were both headed to Brazil to serve missions for our church. We had such a blast last weekend breaking out the old scrapbook and reminiscing all the crazy time we had! My Hubby (who just happens to be the same guy who went to Brazil!) was kind enough to humor all our random outbursts of inside jokes and crazy movie lines! Maybe that is why he spent a good part of the day doing "homework" on Friday....:cD

Berlyn is now living only one state away from me in AZ, teaching school AND finishing up her Masters degree! I was honored when she asked me to do a photo shoot, and we had so much fun doing it! Yes, we partied like it was 1999...

In the bleak midwinter....

I grew up with snowy winters. I always loved them in December. But, by January I was ready for Spring! I thoroughly enjoyed my first winter here in NM. I hardly wore a coat, I wore flip flops most of the time, I got several weird looks, and even got asked a few times, "aren't you cold?" To me and my cold winter jeans: IT WAS GREAT! Fast forward 3.5 years...I told one of my photog friends the other day that I had snow envy...she had some beautiful shots of her little girl in several snowy scenes. And, while winters here are very mild, they are lacking in color and beauty. Sure, we get a a few snow storms, but they are usually cleared out and melted by noon! So, last week I decided that I just HAD to take advantage of the lingering snow...and since my kids were out of school for 4 days for "snow days" we headed out...in the 17 degree weather....

"Snow Day"

It snowed last night. Well, more like it "skiffed" last night! But, the roads were SUPER icy and so they canceled school. Picture #1 is my 1st graders face when I told her school was canceled. Not quite what I was expecting...maybe it was because I told her earlier today that if you get the day off you have to make it up later! But, I think that she eventually got over it! Happy Snow Day everyone!

Winter Wedding {Albuquerque Wedding Photographer}

I have been cold before. I attended girls camp on THE COLDEST day they ever had on record at camp. We literally wore every single stitch of clothing we brought with us. I have been in the snow many times. I have even been barefoot in the snow before. But I think I can honestly say that I have NEVER been as cold as I was at this wedding! The wind was so horribly chilly.....
This beautiful couple got married a few days after Christmas at the Oquirrh Mountain LDS temple in Utah. I was lucky enough to second shoot for my friend and extremely talented photographer Vanessa Rae. The Bride and Groom were such troopers for pictures! The poor bride was in short sleeves! We would go out and shoot for as long as we could stand it and then run back inside tell we could warm up enough and head back out! I have heard that the wind can be the best prop you can have, and he sure was overdoing his job! Hair hair everywhere! Enjoy this beautiful winter wedding! Congrats Alli and Aaron!

I am totally excited to announce the premier of my new "create your own" cards! These cards are totally customizable: color, pictures, text, etc. They can be used for graduation, birth announcements, party invites, holiday cards, engagement cards, just to name a few! I have had so much fun the last couple days putting them together for sample cards! Here is an example of one "jigsaw" featuring a (pretend) b-day party for my little girl! *A Simpler Time*

My Grandpa Sweeten was an amazing guy. Among his many talents he was a world famous cowboy poet (he was even on the Johny Carson show and would tour with Michael Martin Murphy), and he was an amazing woodworker. Not just the machine type, but the "by hand" type. I have a few wooden treasures that he made by hand, and possibly my favorite is my marble rack. It was a favorite toy, beloved by both my friends and me when I was little. We would spend hours playing with the little marbles (students) and the big marbles (teachers) chasing down the hallways. I love that my kids get to experience the same joy I did as a kid.

Well, hello there. Its been a while, eh? After getting back from our 2 week Christmas trip I was faced with the Mother of all messes. I like to say that my house threw up Christmas! And, amidst all the putting away new toys and taking down Christmas my "nesting" urges kicked in a little early and I decided to Spring Clean the whole entire house...in January.... So, it has left little time for Photoshop and he has been feeling a bit neglected! But, I did find a little bit of time tonight (Hubby is back to the books at night giving me time to edit again!) to start working on a wedding from the end of December. So, just so you think that I hadn't totally abondonded you (is anyone even still there!?!), I will leave you with this cute little couple (on THE COLDEST day EVER...but more on that later....)

I started doing Project 52 (one picture a week for the whole year) last year and made it clear up until June...This year I am going to attempt it again! With a new baby coming in May it might be a little trickier than last year, or then again, I might just have some really great subject matter ;c)

The Hubby and I took our girls sledding a few times over Christmas break (if you couldn't tell, we were NOT in New Mexico!) and this was the common position when going down the hill! Thats my little chickens!

We had such a crazy time trying get the second half of this Senior shoot done! We had to reschedual 4 times due to the most crazy things (the owner getting called out of town for a rescue to the weather). But, we finally got them! This was my first time photographing a horse....he liked to snort my lens! As always, R was simple stunning!

Besides my lens the Horse also liked R's buttons!!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I ADORE this Senior. She has been my "go to" model the last few months...heck, I probably have more pictures of her than her family does! Ha ha! I just love how she reads my mind, I start to tell her what I am looking for and BAM she gives it to me! Besides being drop dead gorgeous, she is sweet, smart, and an all around great girl! She is doing beauty school as well as finishing up high school, and I foresee many great things in her future! Thanks again for letting me "really" do your Senior Pictures....oh, did I mention that this is only the first HALF. We've had to schedule our second location a few times now...but we will eventually get it!

You might recognize this cute family from Here, Here, or Here! Yes, in fact, I am pretty sure that they were my very first clients! I have loved watching the kids grow over the past year and a half! They are so adorable, so obedient, uber sweet, and so much fun to photograph. I was so excited when they signed up for a mini session! Thanks guys! Lets do it again sometime!

Lee and Kayla Wedding {Albuquerque wedding photographer}

Lee and Kayla have such a cute story. They went to the same high school...a rather small high school...and they didn't even know each other. But, they had a mutual friend. Kayla told this friend that she liked this guy... Lee told this same friend that she liked this girl.... It was a match, and a good one at that. Lee and Kayla are fun and laid back. And that is what they wanted their wedding to be about...and they did a good job. There were several times that I found myself just laughing out loud and what was transpiring before my eyes. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day!

Lee and Kayla got married in the historic UNM alumni chapel. The building was amazing!

I had such a fun time doing this shoot. I don't usually photograph newborns. But, when my best friend, who grew up next door to me, got her little girl, after two (darling) boys, I knew that it was a must! We live three states away from each other, and don't get to see each other nearly enough! But, it just so happened that I was going to be in town about a month after her little darling was born, what a perfect excuse to spend the morning together! I had fun experimenting with different things. And we had lots of fun gabbing! Baby didn't really want to be asleep...we were too much to fun to hang with! And then, when she did fall asleep she didn't want Mom to put her down! Good thing she was so darn cute no matter what she did!

It has probably become apparent to anyone who keeps up with this blog, that I have a certain orchard that has become a favorite location of mine....especially when photographing my kids. My rationing on the subject is due to the fact that I am kind of drawn to green, luscious, and alive. New Mexico is more brown, spiky, and dirt. I had been toying with the idea of this back to school shoot for my girls, but I was waiting till my apple orchard had some juicy red apples. I was there last month with a family and we were met with many baby apples getting ready to ripen. I would guess mid-September to late September would be perfect. So, it came as a complete shock, when driving my daughter to preschool, to find apples littering the sidewalk in front of a house. I thought I still had a few more weeks!?! I rushed down to my orchard later that day to find EVERY. SINGLE. LAST. APPLE. GONE. Not even a few left on the ground. Not even any trace that they had ever even been there! Luckily, I had recently seen a back to school shoot on my friend Kellee Smith's blog and so I just took some of her ideas and tweaked them a bit and....

I am a total Spring-Summer girl at heart. I love bare feet, warm summer nights, the beach, sand, ponytails... so I am having a hard time coming to grips with the fact that it is almost over. The kids are out enjoying the last minutes of dusk playing in the yard...(sigh)....

It feels so good to be getting on top of all the editing I have to do. It is amazing how much I *can* get done for the 6 hrs I have ever week that I am kid-less. This shoot was done back in...July... These two cousins were awesome to work with, beautiful, funny, and great dressers! Maybe I should hire them to be my shoot stylists....hmmm.... Thanks girls! You were a blast to work with!

Normally I would apologize or at least feel a little bad for having such a huge blog post. But this couple deserve every single picture! Not only are they both drop dead gorgeous, but they just radiate their adoration for each other. This session was from when I was so privileged to second shoot with the fabulous Vanessa Millecam. I had such a great time with this fun family. Our first location of choice didn't work out...the gate was locked! So, we went to one of my favorite spots. If Dad ever is looking for a job that doesn't pay very well, I would hire him as a location scout in a jiff! While I was doing individual shots he was out finding hidden gems in my favorite location that I had NO IDEA where there! It was awesome! And the two boys, they are so sweet to each other! And then there was Lucy the dog. I think it is safe to say that she LOVES my favorite location just as much as I do!

School is back in session. That means that this girl gets 6 completely free hours a week! I hope this means that you shall be seeing a lot more from me...either that or my house will get cleaner :cD

Six years ago today I become a Mommy! “S” is such a delight to have in our family. She is so caring for her little sister. I love that they are best friends. S is such a thinker. The other day I told her, “maybe we should have named you Wilhelmina” (totally teasing her). She looked at me and said, “well, then I defiantly would always be at the end of the line at school!!! (because they line up in alphabetical order)”. Not quite what I was going for! She is so smart. She is one of the top readers in her class. She has always been a cuddlier. Every night after reading to her, she wants us to stay and cuddle with her. She is so thoughtful and sweet. We were talking the other night and I told her that I was sad she was growing up because it meant that she would eventually get married and move away. She got tears in her eyes and told me that she never wanted to leave me! Melt by heart! We love you “S”!!!

This first set of pictures was taken after a LONG day and a late night. She had fallen asleep in the car on the way there and couldn't quite shake the sleepiness for the first little while. Here I told her to jump up and down for ice cream (because there was a girl eating ice cream on the wall behind her)...this is what I got instead..."I don't want anyone to see me do that!!!" Silly girl!

I recently told someone that it was one of my life's goals to get the dandelion seeds in the shot....well,I guess I can chalk that one off the list!

I had such a great time with this family. I had met Mom before, and was super excited to meet the rest of the family as well! I had the great pleasure of photographing this gorgeous couple. They got married in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. They decided to do a "formal" (Bridals with the Groom) shoot that morning, before the wedding. We even did a "first look" sequence it which I captured the Grooms face when he first saw his loverly Bride-to-be in her dress. It was so much fun! And, it was great to have the time to get some really great pictures, without being rushed to go to the reception! I would highly recommend Bridals (or formals) for any of my Brides who want a lot of more formal (as apposed to more candid) pictures of her (or them) in their wedding duds. So, without further adieu, here are the Formals....

Yesterday I got the oppurtinity to do mentoring with the amazing Andee of Crave Photography. I can't say enough good about Andee. When I first started out and had so many questions, I emailed her and she was so helpful to answer any and all questions I had! I had such a great time and I learned so much about Photoshop. We went on a shoot with two stunning girls! They both knew what they were doing, and made my job a breeze! Here is just a very small sampling of the pictures!! Thanks Andee!!!!

Today is my baby's 3rd birthday! We went out for a Birthday shoot at one of my favorite spots: the ever changing orchard!

She loves to roll her tongue. I think it is, in part, because Mom can't!

This girl can change moods quicker than any girl I have ever met! She has this ADORABLE "sad face". She pouts out her bottom lip and puts her head down. Usually all it takes it us to say "sad face!!" and she will give us a huge grin....

Other times, things are a little more tragic, and it takes a bit more....

Nothing that a cupcake can't fix!!!

Things I have learned about balloons: 1-little boys don't hold on to them very well (see here). 2-Balloons pop in grass.

I’ll be honest: kids sometimes intimidate me..... and I am usually a little nervous before a kid shoot. Adults, you tell them how to pose, where to look, what look to have on their face; and (most of them) do it! Kids are a little bit tougher! It’s like going in for a job interview: either they like you or they don’t, and first impressions mean everything!

If every kid session was like this one: I would do nothing but kids! Not only were they so cooperative they were ADORABLE! Mom says that Little Miss usually doesn’t cooperate with the camera…I think she is an undercover model! And Little Bud…well, he was a typical 1 ½ yr old and he kept me chasing after him! But, when he did look my way he had a smile to melt your heart…and a couple other ADORABLE looks as well!

When Mom told me that she wanted a vintage look I was super excited. We got some great props, found a killer location (which you will be hearing more about soon!), and …well, I’m in love! Hope you like them!

I did a vintage tint on some of these, but I also did a full color one as well...I really like how the vintage turned out! Oh, and I love the look on her face!!

I have a friend who is a fellow photographer. She photographs mainly newborns and their siblings. Lately I have astonished by the uniqueness of some of the names of these kids: Taggard, Sawyer, Dayton, Porter, Brexlee, Kensington, Sinclair, Broderick, Presley, Bentley…. I was convinced for a while that she MUST be making them up!

It got me thinking a little about my website. For obvious reasons, I don’t use names of anyone under 18. So, there are a lot of “A” families or “Baby B’s”. HOW boring! And, there are only so many letters in the alphabet before you start getting something like: “the AA” family, and that might make their friends and family wonder! So, I have decided that I am going to do what I thought my friend had done, and make up names. I think this will make the website all that more exciting. I think I will call my kids "Lily" and "Daisy" which just happen to be two of Lily's favorite names right now!

So, don't be surprised if you go to see your Seniors pics and her name has been changed to McIntosh or Hayze!

Beautiful Bridals {Albuquerque Wedding Photographer}

You might have noticed an increase of weddings and a decrease of…well, everything else! I have, over the last few months, really been trying to figure out where my true passion lies…and the answer is weddings. Last summer I shot my first bridal session and I LOVED it. I couldn’t stop! We went way over the hour and I came home with over a hundred images! There is just something so magical about that time in life. When you find that someone that completes you and makes you happier than you have ever been! I love working with couples who are so in love with each other! A wedding (hopefully!) only happens once in your life, and I love to capture those special moments to treasure forever. So, over the last few months I have been working to build up my wedding portfolio. While I am still going to do families, kids, seniors, etc….I will be putting most of my focus at this time into weddings. So…if you know anyone who is getting married, kindly send them my way! I would love to share their special time with them!

Ali is a fellow photog here in Albuquerque. I was honored that she let me capture her special time in her beautiful wedding dress! I was a little worried that she would be intimidating, since she has been in the business longer than I…but she was a total blast to work with…and easy as pie to pose!! Thanks Ali! I don't know what it is with my kids and shoes, but they just can't seem to get them on the right feet! I thought that the problem would be cured once it was flip flop season...not so, the 2 yr old even manages to get her flip flops on the wrong feet! HOW does one do that!?!

I took this shot the other day when we were visiting oldest daughter school classroom. I looked over and younger daughter had her flip flops on the wrong feet, so I told her to check her shoes. This is how she checked them! Funny kid!

What a difference two weeks makes! What was once a beautiful orchard filled with apple blossoms is now a beautiful green orchard with only a handful of blossoms! I blame it on the fierce New Mexico winds that nearly blew us all away the day before!

This couple was so much fun! So in love! They are off to Vegas in a few days to tie the knot! Don't let their summer like attire and happy faces fool you though, it was FREEZING! Wow. Thanks for the laughs guys! Oh, and what do you think? Is he Ewan McGreggor's long lost twin or not??

There is just something so magic about an orchard in bloom! Here is the rest of the orchard shoot featuring my two favorite models! I found these super easy to make tutu's on a blog, The Idea Attic , and decided to try my hand at them. While they were super easy to make, they sure got a super huge amount of glitter all over my house! Oh well, at least I will always know where the girls have been when they wear them!!

You might recognize these adorable siblings and their Mom. This is the third time I have had the opportunity to get my lens on them! I can't believe how much they change every few months! And, each time, I do believe they are just a bit cuter too! Mom told me that little guy was so excited to get his picture taken, he was even practicing! Awww!

I had this spot all picked out because of the great pathway lined with trees. As we walked around one of the trees we were surprised and delighted to find that it was hollowed out! What a gem of a find!

Oh, and one thing I learned: when giving a little boy balloons to hold make sure they are tied on TIGHT to his wrist. Because, that gleam in his eyes does indeed mean, "I wonder what will happen if..." and then answer is, "they will fly up , up, and away!!" Luckily, it was at the END of taking pictures!

I just love how everything is starting to green up! Spring is such a great time for pictures!

Eldest daughter took a good whack in the head from youngest daughters camera. I would like to say the story went that youngest daughter was moving around to get a good shot and her camera hit eldest daughter in the head. But alas, youngest daughter is only 2 and truth be told she actually threw her camera across the back seat and hit her sister. I told eldest daughter that it was probably going to turn into a good bruise. She HATES having any attention drawn to her and so she was very happy that this week is Spring Break and she has a week for it to go away. Because, as she says, she will be very mad if she has to "wear it to school"!!

This picture was taken this afternoon as eldest daughter and some friends played in the backyard. It was LUVERLY! She gave me about 5 seconds to snap a picture before she was half way across the yard!

I feel like I have been doing nothing but photography stuff the last month (is it bad when you edit photos in your sleep?)....and this blog has so little to show for it!
